| 1998 | Convened an Informational Forum on nursing home Culture Change after creating a coalition of consumers, providers and unions interested in care improvement. |
| 2000 | Identified New York City nursing homes that have 'conscience' policies that may cause them to refuse to follow residents' end-of-life treatment decisions. |
| 2003 | Successfully challenged the State to enforce protections against illegal evictions of elderly residents. |
| 2005 | Worked to require nursing homes to provide necessary medications despite problems with Medicare Part D. |
| 2006 | Convened conference to educate consumers on how to pursue nursing home complaints with the NYS Department of Health and the NYS Attorney General. |
