MEDICARE THREAT
Changes in Medicare proposed by a U.S. Congressional Commission would endanger our Medicare system. They would increase the Medicare eligibility age to 67, raise premiums and co-payments, and increasingly turn Medicare over to private, for-profit insurance companies. A national campaign .Medicare for All,. opposes the changes, fighting instead to expand Medicare to cover prescription drugs, long-term care, mental health services, preventive care, and services and equipment to allow people with disabilities to live independently.
