Memorial for Margaret (Peggy) Barry
The Board of Directors of FRIA note with great sadness the death of Margaret (Peggy) Barry, our fellow board member and friend who died while on vacation in Ireland. Peggy came to FRIA as Founder of the Family Council at Throgs Neck Extended Care Facility and served on our Benefit and Policy Committees. She was an active supporter of FRIA’s mission to give caregivers an active voice in nursing home policy issues and a role in improving the quality of care in all long-term settings. We shall miss her participation and optimism and extend our deep sympathy to her son, Greg, and other family members.
